However, looking at this again, I'm coming back to say there may still be a good idea here to be considered. The ability to transfer the magnetic image from the master tape to another tape was primarily intended for dub generation. However, it could be useful in obtaining a copy of the RF signal without engaging the tape with hot flying head tips. Assumes the reversing of the Mirror imaged tracks... but, that should be over-come through the appropriate algorithms. stationary sensor in contact with the tape. Then sense the magnetic
properties of the tape. This would have to be a very low level so as not
to erase the tape. The sensor would have to be on the order of 5 to 10

bands. </div>
