Not sure Don but I do recall the power rails were a lot cleaner. If I
recall they also improved the ground plane and RF shielding.

Hello Guy:
I've been digging thru files this evening trying to find some additional
info for Park, and I may have found an answer to my question. The Merlin
sheet on that power supply mod says "This is a precision regulated power
supply of modern design which will usefully enhance the overall stability
and the signal to noise performance of the VTR". I assume that "stability"
would refer to the servo but "signal to noise" leads me to think that the
servo might put some trash on the power supply buss that would get into the
signal system. Maybe??? I still have to say that I don't notice any servo
improvement!
