[QuadList] VR-1200B Daily Servo Set UP

My Ampex/Merlin will lock in 2 seconds from Ready. I assume other  
1200s will do the same if properly adjusted.

I usually enter Play from Ready but don't do it within valuable  
program material. I will hit the tape in a section like bars or black  
so as not to disturb any good, active recording.

Of course if you are really brave, rewind then hit FF and then stop as  
the tape is slowing down and hit Play just as the tape is gong about  
15 IPS!
