The tape is non-backcoated, brown oxide. It was recorded by Mark Armistead
Studios and the label indicates that the first section is a low-band color
master recorded on RCA followed by a hi-band master. It doesn't say what
the hi-band segment was recorded on and there's no date on the label. It
also is labeled "Marcel Marceau". Well, that's exactly what it is.

For something this old, and the condition of the tape (another story!), the
quality is pretty good. It was recorded in a studio with a live audience.
There are multiple takes and several different routines. There's at least
one segment with some credits which unfortunately don't include the date.
The title is "Meet Marcel Marceau" and it was an RKO Production recorded at
Armistead Studios.

The tape was shipped to someone at Ampex named Bob Duden. I'd love to know
what they were doing with it. Since it had the specific info about the
low-band RCA recording, I wonder if they were doing some sort of
comparrison. Obviously, the HBC section is MUCH better than the LBC, mainly
as far as S/N is conerned.
