Don,

Did you read the line "they are housed in attractive walnut grained 
cabinets"? Was this to match the coffee tables and other fine wood furniture 
usually not found in the tape rooms of the past? The only other Ampex 2" product 
that I can think of with any wood finish resemblance is the AVR-1 side 
panels. Definitely not for the living room in most homes.
