Here is a very short video showing some of the problems getting this  
Quad to work. The last part of the clip shows good playback but  
without Vel Comp.

One problem seen in the YouTube clip was a hue shift in head #2. I  
traced the problem down to a broken wire (J6-T) in the cable that  
connects the Vel Comp to the Signal System. Vel Comp works well now  
after a little adjustment. Amtec has some little problems but the  
machine is almost perfect.

This tape was recorded in the mid 70s in Japan.
