Interesting picture.  I see the RCA Alignment tape on top of the  machine.  
 
Now here is the trivial question.  RCA offered kits to high band a VTR  in 
the field.  If you got the kit installed in a TR-4 at the factory, what  was 
the designation for the machine?
 
This did not work as well as the machine that was designed for high band to 
 begin with.  I had a TR-4 that had been factory modified and it did not  
have the performance of the TR-60 or a VR-1200B.  There was just more  
artifacts in the video.
 
The kits were for a TR-22, and a TR-4.  Does anyone know if this was  
available for a TR-3?
 
The answer in case you need some help was the TR-50.
