Quad Videotape Group Awards Dinner during AMIA Conference, St. Louis, MO
Tuesday, Nov. 3, 6:30p.m. Location to be announced

Here is the tally from the Quaddy™ balloting that closed on Monday.

Total Ballots 111111111 (9)

Award Name:
Quaddy™: 111111111	(9)
Quaddie™

Quaddy™Award Nominees:
Park Seward: 11111	(5)
Ted	Langdell: 11111	(5)

One person voted for each nominee, which is how it became a tie.

In addition to the Quaddy™ award, which will be given to both
nominees, the Secretary's Award recognizes Jim Lindner's past work
with Quad and developing the Museum of recording equipment while the
owner of VidiPax.

We will be recognizing two other group members for their
contributions to—as Park put it—"keeping the flame alive."

One won't have to travel far. The other is in Southern California,
but may not be in St. Louis in time for dinner. Each has contributed
to the recovery of content but through different paths. One has been
working with Quad for more than 30 years. The other is a relative
newcomer to Quad care and operation.

Both are dedicated to the cause of keeping what's on Quad tape
available. Both are AMIA members and may have some of their work on-
screen at the AMIA Screening Night.

Names will be revealed on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

This is a beginning, the first of what I hope are many opportunities
to recognize the contributions of people who are currently working to
make visible the programs still housed on Quadruplex Videotape.

As 2009 turns into 2010, please watch for people whose ongoing and
whose past contributions to the art and science of Quadruplex video
should be highlighted and honored, especially through the Quaddy™.

If you're at all within easy travel of St. Louis, we invite you to
join us for dinner and awards

Please RSVP by clicking here: I'M COMING TO DINNER and include your
name and the names of any people are coming with you.

Last year, we had a good time on Tuesday AND Wednesday with slightly
different groups, so a fun time will be had at AMIA.

Best regards and safe travel wishes...

Ted
