I HAVE A FRIEND THAT HELPED DESIGN THEM AT  RCA... BUT MAY HAVE  BEEN  
LATER TIROS MODEL I WILL CHECK...

So my question is; what kind  of "video recorder" would you put in a 
satellite in 1960? I'm also interested  in what kind of cameras it  had.
