Thanks Ted, I bow as always to your wisdom

 

I love the Japanese story

 

Whatever frequency you have it helps if you neighbors have the same, then
you can import and export power to help each other

 

This might be a tad complex if you have 50Hz and 60Hz

I might add that Japan has both 50 and 60hz, a situation created when the
competing AC power companies each built systems on different sides of the
main Japanese island.
