[QuadList] TCR-100 (was 1" Machine glue)

I think I have a cart "crank handle" here somewhere.
When you take the tape off the spool be careful - the spools are spring loaded and when not threaded the spools are pressed up against the inside of the cart. It keeps the tape from unspooling when handled.

With any luck, we should have a good look at the inside of a operating
TCR-100 soon.
I received a call from a guy who contacted me after seeing my YouTube
TR-70 videos. He had dubbed the RCA quad demo tape of the TCR-100 to two
carts when his station first got the machine "back in the day" to
demonstrate the ability of the machine to seamlessly switch "live" from
one cart to another. He dubbed 1/2 of the demo onto each cart.
He said he hadn't seen this particular RCA demo video anywhere since he
did that, and wanted to see if I could remove the tape from the carts,
play the tape, and put the demo up on YouTube to share with everyone
interested.
I have never been around any of these quad cart machines in my career,
so, before I dove into trying to remove the tape from the carts, I have
been doing a little research.
When I get a little time in the very near future, I'm going to do a
YouTube video of the process of removing the tape and attempting to play
them back on one of the TR-70Cs.
There is apparently only a few feet of tape on the cart ahead of the
recorded program material start, so this should also be a good test of
the lockup speed of the 70C servo.
In my research, I did find out that the guys up in Woonsocket are in the
process of restoring a TCR for their museum. I'm definitely going to
want to see that in action!
