[QuadList] TCR-100 Carts--Sold

WOW! economy must be  tough.This turned out  to be a good buy for someone 
indeed! What makes me wonder... why the other  bidders did not go higher.... 
perhaps  they  were general tape or  electronics collectors and do not 
recognize the uniqueness....
 
 
 
I figured the prototype at $300 and the ACL production unit and  $100  Here 
is an interesting case of an auction environment not doing so well...
 
How did I arrive at that price?  If someone had walked in the door 3  weeks 
ago with the  units and  this historical background what is what  they  
check would have been written for!
 
Now you ask.. what does 3 weeks ago have to do with it? Well.... that  was  
before I bought a good section  full of  40 ft tractor  trailer of  antique 
 broadcast stuff... I usually try to be a little  good after something like 
that.
 
But oddly enough.... there was one of the red ones in the  batch plus  a 
great literature stash on it

My dad was an engineering manager at RCA Broadcast and  led the effort to 
develop the TCR-100.  I was clearing out excess  stuff and found a couple of 
cartridges and I couldn't bring myself to  toss them.  So I've put them on 
eBay.

One is a gray cart  from the prototype demo at the 1969 NAB.
To find them, search ebay  for RCA TCR-100.
