Mine were ‘Rank’ Taylor-Hobson and there was obviously one of the cameras that had a zoom lens on it and it even seemed to be mounted on a Chapman crane from some of the moves that were made.

Remember though  what gives the TK 60 and some of the  UK cameras "that  distinctive look" are the  Taylor Hobson (almost added Cooke but that was  from an earlier era...)lenses on the front. They are large,  they have really cool lens hoods,  and none of my other US stuff looks  like it.   There is nothing cooler than a fully loaded and  hooded  60 turret!

They also made some longer than 8" lenses  that are cosmetic matches for the  2,3,5,and 8" you usually see.  I WANT SOME OF THESE. Also there is  some shorter than 2" (35mm)  I would like one of these too.

	Having had responsibility for seven TK-60s for several years, it definitely looks like same to me.  I had several with lens turrets like the one in the video.  It also looks to me to be an NBC logo on the side of the camera which means it could have been WRC’s truck.  The video also has the look of a 4.5” IO tube and we frequently set them up without the corners showing.  The bi-alkali tubes did not come out until about 68 so the video resistance to burn-in from the spots and flash bulbs shot straight into the lens lean toward 4.5” tubes.  

	I enjoyed watching it even with the bad audio, but having done a lot of live productions you know it is not going to be like the studio.  I was interested in watching the reaction of the local stage hands when the boys started moving some of their stuff around.  They were also wearing suit and tie which no self respecting stage hand or roadie would be caught dead in today!  Some of the police were amused by the reaction of the kids to the Beatles, but many of the people who were staff at the Coliseum seemed perplexed by all the commotion.  The photogs from the papers and magazines kept their usual poker faces as they did their thing.  With all the pictures being taken that day, there should be some other visual evidence of the TV cameras presence and resolve the question once and for all.

	I looked at the video and found the camera at 22:19 into the show.  I can not recognize it. It may be a marconi or a nother brand.  It does have a simnilar look to a TK-60 but not emough.  Any thoughts?

	It's good to see that the Washington Concert has been finally released. The one and only 2" original was reproduced here at DC Video in 1996 by myself with Apple film archivist Ron Furmanek & transferred to D2. Ron had recently found and acquired it at the time for Apple. The 2" tape had three segments, all physically spliced together. The first was Lesley Gore, the second was The Beach Boys, and the third was The Beatles. The first two segments were chosen to be recorded at NBC Burbank because of it's color capability. The Beatles was recorded on location. The Beatles was supposed to have been a color remote, but at the last moment, that was shelved because of problems with the new hand held color cameras. This production was meant for closed circuit distribution only. It has not been seen in it's entirety on videotape since.

	The tape played well, with only one head clog, which we retransferred. The audio was distorted on The Beatles performance.

	The original tape was found by Ron Furmanek after a lengthy search. Much credit is deserved by Ron for the additional information provided about this program and for his efforts with this and other Beatles projects.

	I've held off commenting further about this tape for months as per a request from those involved. I have since been granted a request for this post.
