[QuadList] Sugestions on how to clean sappers.

I have some of the "young un's" tease me about my years with tape (John "the
tape man" Miller), but it seems from all of your posts since I have been a
member of this great group, that the real issues with long term tape archive
has to do with reels etc, not the magnetic side of things.

I have the same problem but on only about 10% of the tapes. I have
successfully cleaned and transferred the sticky tapes. 

Let's hear from others first before I give away my methods.
