There are several books about Farnsworth that I have read. Interesting reading. Check out Amazon.

Farnsworth discussed electronic scanning with his science teacher when we was 14. I don't know when he met the time traveler!

But from I remember, he lived in a small town while a teenager and liked to mess with electricity, even repairing generators while very young.
