[QuadList] --Loosely packed tape with foam debris (Was QVTG Phoenix Dinner)

Ted,

I am transferring some tapes that used masking tape to hold down. Well, the tape dried out and left a lot of very fine particles where the masking tape used to be. I cut off the first three feet or so. Most of these tapes have 20-30 seconds of blank tape before bars.

Suggestion: don't use masking tape to hold down tape ends!

Best,
Park

After completely winding the tape in one direction, remove the tape from the original reel and clean the empty reel thoroughly with the vacuum cleaner. Wipe the reel with a slightly damp cloth both inside and out (NOT paper towel; that would leave paper debris), let dry, then wind the tape back onto the reel again.
