Ted- yea this is the second  day   every square inch of me  aches!
 
That is a good  idea on the  photos   and quicker than  writing them  down..
 
I did a similar thing with a  collection of  transcription   records from 
the  40's from KTAR   
 
My printing is  bad. and if I have to  do it fast it   just  gets  worse to 
this is  a good  method indeed

Is there a chance that as you're sorting, you could use a  point-and-shoot 
digital camera to snap pix of the manual fronts and inside  fronts?  


Pix with enough detail to show the item the manual is for, date info, any  
volume number (for multi-volume items) and edition/revision numbers for 
later  cataloging in a spreadsheet?


That would be very helpful for you down the line, and as a shared  resource 
would be a big help.
