I have a number of ITE pedestals but unable to work out how to counterbalance them, i have some trimming weights but nothing else - and in all photos i have seen thats all there seems to be
if you have any manuals for ITE peds that explains, do let me know

Is there a chance that as you're sorting, you could use a point-and-shoot digital camera to snap pix of the manual fronts and inside fronts?
Pix with enough detail to show the item the manual is for, date info, any volume number (for multi-volume items) and edition/revision numbers for later cataloging in a spreadsheet?
That would be very helpful for you down the line, and as a shared resource would be a big help.
