[QuadList] TV Station Engineering Report

Yes, a local station with both second generation VR's and second generation TR's was not that common as far as I know. The slo-mo HS-100 was exclusive territory to Ampex until years later i.e. Arvin Echo. If you look at some of the RCA Broadcast News, you will see the TCR or TR's in the foreground with a lone shot or two of a VR series in the background. The VR 2000 was introduced in 1964, at least a full year ahead of the RCA high-bands. In the case of NBC NY and Burbank, this necessitated the purchase of the VR-2000's to stay competitive production wise. I believe Dennis has mentioned earlier that NBC NY aired to the network in prime time on VR-2000's. Did the General know this?

I will reveal the station identity soon. Meanwhile, the guessing game continues. And as Pat mentioned mentioned, no it was not KPRC.

Should not be too hard to figure out which station--lists the HS-100 out on Baseball, that narrows it way down to a station that had both Ampex and RCA quads (not too many of those I'll wager) and a mobile unit with an HS-100.
