It would appear that the fan on the 24 volt supply I have sitting on the
bench blows down. This unit is in an advanced state of disassembly, so I
don't remember if the fan is on the bottom or top. But memory seems to
serve me the fan is on the bottom. So if it is, it blows down.
I cannot get at my known working power supply right now because there is
too much stuff in front of the AVR-1. But if you need me to, I'll move
it and take a look at it.

Hello wizards of antiques,
The last operational AVR-1 at CBS TV City failed a few weeks ago. The 24
Volt supply pass transistor (Q1 of 3) shorted and took out a few other
boards. I have it mostly repaired and was finishing up transistor
replacements when I found the fan needs replacement too. I have a fan
but the old fan was blowing down. I have 2 more units with one blowing
down and the other up. I think the air plenum above the power supply
drawer sucks IN so the fan should blow up. Is this right?
