Don - No - the SDI light would not light when I toggled though the
inputs on the front panel.. after the reset now it does like the other
units the DV light lights on none of them but that is because option is
not there. (I wonder where I could score the option board at a reasonable
lo lo price!)

One good thing! OK I do have one unit that was the NR active (yea!)
 2 that do not.
These units are really complex compared to my real early version of
these units.

Hi Ed:

The reset should not have any ill effects on your unit. Not sure how you
tested SDI, but it is always active. However, if it was set for DigiDuplex
you would not have gotten the “normal” signal path. There’s also a
lock-out menu that could affect SDI selection. As you’ll discover, there are
hundreds of variables that you can control on the 575, so starting with a
reset to give you the default settings is probably a good idea!

UPDATE!
Ok the dps 575 would not do sdi or dv... I reset to factory spec on
the menu ( hope I did not wipe updates or anything... or did I?) and SDI
setup is now present. There is no DV menu accessible... and knowing
when this was installed DV was not a biggie where this was. I have
some homework to do and thanks to all for manuals and hints! Drop any thing
else you find to me. thx Ed# _www.smecc.org_ (http://www.smecc.org/)
