No one came up with the answer. It was a 2 inch helical scan machine the size of a VR-1100. I believe it was shown at the 1961 show. The machine is promoted in the October 1961 issue of Ampex Head Lines. It used a single head and what looks like he same wrap as a type C or A format. As far as I know it never made production or was sold. Chris Hill
