Dennis,

Bob Whitney was a true pioneer at that time. He has many stories to tell about those local TV dance show days, facilities, and what it took to save the tapes (and not all were saved by a long shot). He brought them by here (he took that picture) and we had a great time. We have stayed in occasional contact throughout the years. Some of his 2" material is on the demo reel in the AMIA booth display for this company. However, you had the great pleasure of "being there". Save those memories!

Local teen dance shows are by far the most revealing insight into the 60's American "youth generation"  movement that exist, in my opinion. It's a lot more accurate than the network based shows. Here are two frame grabs from some of those locally produced programs, both with lovely TK 42 color images!
