[QuadList] DMARC update--Waiting for new software to be installed--What to do if you use AOL, Yahoo and Yahoo-managed and other affected e-mail addresses

Greetings, QuadList members,

I've been having back and forth communication with our QuadList webhost about the DMARC situation that caused a number of rejected e-mails from the QuadList and resulting unsubscribes of AOL, Yahoo and Yahoo-managed e-mail accounts and one Microsoft user.

The cause is outlined nicely, here:

We are waiting for our QuadList webhost to finish testing a new version of CPanel which has a newer version of our list's Mailman software that may allow me to make adjustments to reduce the problem--while violating existing, long-established listserv standards and practices.

They have no timeline for when that new package may be installed.

If you use an e-mail address from AOL, Yahoo or Yahoo managed, Microsoft or other ISP's that have implemented DMARC rules you may want to consider posting from a different e-mail address so as not to trigger bounces and unsubscribes of QuadList subscribers who are using accounts from these ISPs.

If you don't have any other e-mail addresses to use, you can send an e-mail directly to me for reposting as I have an opportunity to do so.

More information as it becomes available.

Please change the subject as topics veer from the original post.

Thanks much,

Ted
